Hugues Godmé
Man of conviction, passionate craftsman and committed to biodynamics since 2014, Hugues has shaped the estate’s vineyard, according to his idea, with his means and his convictions. Still at the helm, today is the time to pass on his passion and know-how. The succession of Champagne Hugues Godmé is written with Lucille, 5th generation to observe, listen, adapt, and find the answers adapted to each terroir, while respecting natural balances. Humility and wisdom are required for this meticulous work, so that it can be read in all 13 cuvées.
Father and daughter proudly assume the bias of careful viticulture, respectful of the environment, people and the finished product. Together, they develop with meticulousness and precision living champagnes, reflections of the attachment they have for their land. The wines, with little or no dosage, combine character, elegance and balance. Freshness and pleasant tension characterize the style of the house! Features: Mountain of Reims, four Terroirs Verzy, Verzenay, Villers-Marmery and Ville-Dommange, three grape varieties: Chardonnay, Meunier and Pinot Noir, Vinification 60% in oak barrels.
