The Cave Verdier-Logel’s vineyard is situated in the central massif of France (100km from Lyon), close to the Loire’s source. Two soils are characteristic of the Forez region: granitic and volcanic. The Gamay grapes, traditionally grown (AOP, Cotes du Forez since 2000), develop fruity and light aromas on the granite but can be strong and concentrated on the basalt stone. Organic agriculture since 1997, their wish is to pass the terroir onto the wine as much as possible.
