MAGULA FAMILY ESTATE, Vladimír Magula, Malokarpatská, Slovakia – Organic

All their wines are made from grapes farmed organically (certified) and biodynamically (not certified yet) in their farm in Suchá nad Parnou, Malokarpatská region (southwestern Slovakia). The soil is loess, with high content of calcium, the climate is very dry (600 mm of rain/year). Vineyards are dry farmed, grapes are manually harvested. The wines are spontaneously fermented with native yeasts, there is no temperature control during fermentation, not fine, nor filter any of the wines. As a rule,  no additives used in the cellar, with the exception of small amount of sulphur (generally less than 20 mg/l) that, if added.
