Three generations of wine producers in the heart of the Loire champion biodynamics and religiously ensure that no chemical spreads from other winemakers seep into their land. Beginning their vinification story back in 1960 when Patrice Michon settled in Brem-sur-Mer and inherited several acres of vines that belonged to his father. In 1970 Patrice Michon moved to Ile d’Olonne and built a winery, where in 1984 he was joined by his two sons Thierry and Eric, over time their land has expanded, today covering 32 hectares. Due to its proximity to the ocean, Domaine Saint-Nicolas benefits from a micro-climate: sea, woodland and the marshes of the Ile d’Olonne.
