Domaine Guérin
This 5-hectare estate in the North of Beaujolais, is run by Elisa Guerin and her family. Elisa, an agronomist by training, came back to the family estate in 2019 vintage with the ambition of changing the agricultural and wine making methods when she rejoined her father. And she did! – All 5 hectares comprising 4 ha of Moulin à Vent and 1 ha of Chiroubles, are now cultivated with agroecological methods (ploughing, cover crop, spraying with plant extract in order to reduce copper). The vinifications are low interventionist, as Elisa is sure that’s the best way to express the real terroir. This progression of the estate, including changing the point of view of her father, is a multi-generational project requiring a sharing of know-how, a questioning of an agricultural model and a search for singularity, delicacy and precision.
