ANTONIO PEREIRA VINEYARDS, Tinto Bom, Vinho Verde – Organic
Antonio Pereira Vineyards are located in the right bank of Tamega river, in Vinho Verde region, on the outscurts of the beautiful town of Amarante. The vineyards are 50 yo on averge, planted on tranquil terraces sloping over the river, with granitic sand and schist soils. The viticulture is organic, minimum intervention practices in the winery. Spontaneous fermentation with skins in closed rotative tanks mimicking foot trodding. Maturation for 6 months in stainless steel tanks on lees and bottling with no filtration or fining and minimal SO2. Wines allowed to re-ferment in the bottle and keep the natural fine fizz typical of Vinho Verde, for both whites and the reds.
