UNCONDEMNED, Luis Sousa, Lisboa ~ Organic

This part of Portugal has a wealth of very old vineyards ( many vines are over 100 years-old) with very small production “for the family” and collaborative wine projects. As a result, these vines are saved – not condemned. A unique resource with very developed vines, often planted in an old medieval order, with mixtures of grapes very typical and sometimes forgotten in the regions. Vinification is done with minimal intervention and with traditional techniques, like red and white co-fermetation. Uncondemned are currenty working in two regions – near Ourem, north of Lisbon and Pinhel in extreme North East of Portugal.
