POL OPUESTO WINES, Mendoza
With a desire to stray from Malbec and the typical international varieties, Pol searched for more authentic Argentine varieties and came upon this vineyard which, as far as he has found, is the only vineyard in the Uco Valley that has retained any of the unfashionable Criolla varieties. His avowed aim is to make delicious, liberated wines, whole native yeast ferments, no filtration, no sulphur added during the winemaking. Other wines from other vineyards will follow.
