LE GRAPPIN, Emma and Andrew Nielsen, Beaune
Emma and Andrew Nielsen have made wine in Burgundy since 2011. Their wines are from single-vineyard sites in under-appreciated reaches of the region. They work with growers who farm organically in Burgundy, Beaujolais and the Rhone. In the winery they use native yeasts, with no sulphur added during fermentation, and minimal intervention throughout. They’re passionate about eco-friendly packaging, they created the #Bagnum, a 1.5L pouch which uses 80% less carbon than a glass bottle, re-use wine boxes, buy washed bottles and have never added capsules to their bottles.
