Domaine Landron Chartier is a family estate situated near Nantes in the Loire valley. The 25 ha of vines have been certified organic since 2013 and are divided between Gamay, Muscadet, Malvasia and Cabernet Sauvignon. Vinification is carried out in individual parcels and no chemicals are used in production.
Eldest son Benoît returned to the family domaine in 2008, beginning the conversion to organics in 2010. In 2013 he began production of Pet-Nats and has recently started making wine with no added sulphur. Half of his production is of Muscadet and the other half is of Gamay. Vinification is made by parcelles. There are two key different soils, mica schists at Ligné and deep gneiss right on the edge of the Loire River at Oudon.
