Château Lamery

CHÂTEAU LAMERY, BORDEAUX – Biodynamic

Jacques’ grandfather bought the Domaine situated 50 km southeast of Bordeaux at the Garonne side of Entre Deux Mers back in 1935.  Surrounding the two century old residence and cellar is the south facing vineyard of 4.3 hectares of well drained sandy-clay soil. The vines, aged from 25 to over 70+ years are planted with the three classic Bordeaux grape varieties – Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot as well as the more rare grape Cot, or Malbec. In 2006, Jacques turned his back on classical viticulture and vinification with chemicals and fertilisers and made the change to biodynamics.
