Bodegas Aroa

BODEGAS AROA, Navarra – Organic

man-cut-out_edited-1

Starting out in 1998 in the Navarra region of northern Spain, Aroa took over ancient vineyard land, used for wine making since Roman times that was converted to growing cereals during the 1970s and 80s. Transforming the land back to its original use, Aroa today strongly defend the concept of “terroir”, the individuality of the wines from a specific area, with their own cultural identity, by using a small scale artisan approach, making full use of current technology, both in the vineyard and the wine cellar. Aroa derives its name from the Basque word in agriculture for “The optimum, ideal moment to work the land”.
