Winemakers Alwin and Stefanie work organically on the vines. Inheriting the family’s historic winery, where for generations they produced prominent and successful vintages, today the estate is driven by the fresh ideas of this inspired couple. Having travelled across New Zealand and Australia where they gathered considerable experience, they later worked as interns in France. Taking their combined knowledge of the Old and New World, today they focus on producing healthy, organic grapes. They work with indigenous yeasts and ambient temperature, the malolactic starting on the skins and finishing naturally in the barrels with only 10mg/litre total sulphur added and only at bottling.
