Paradiso di Frassina, Montalcino, Giancarlo Cignozzi, Tuscany
A 1000 year old practice of playing music to animals and plants was reintroduced by Giancarlo Cignozzi in his vineyards in Montalcino. Acoustic waves as biodynamism, maximizing the health of vines, the nearly total disappearance of parasites and therefore minimizing to nil any kind of treatment.
Already studied by University of Pisa and Florence, with amazing results, Giancarlo has participated to a number of worldwide TV programmes, including a National Geographic documentary made on him.
Bose, the leader in the sound business, become partner of his in this project. The Swiss government has given him funds to write a book and with titles of researcher, while, in Brazil a book called “ 100 Bright Things that Make the World Greener” sees him as the only winemaker represented the only wine maker and the one of only two Italian companies.
“However beautiful ,the music makes no difference in the taste of the wine, I still can make it bad, but I would start from healthier and more genuine grapes..”
